DSTV Installation Benoni
Looking for a DSTV installer in Benoni? We fit and fix satellite TV across the East Rand suburbs — new dishes, Explora and Extra View setups, extra TV points, and no-signal fault finding after a Highveld storm has found the weak link in an older installation.

We are an independent installation and repair business, not a MultiChoice branch, agency or walk-in centre. Our side of it is the physical work — the dish, the cabling and the decoder. Accounts, payments, upgrades and blocked smartcards go to MultiChoice directly, on 011 289 2222.
Your DSTV Installer in Benoni, Suburb by Suburb
The job is rarely just “bolt a dish to the wall”. Stands sit close together, the dish has to see past a neighbour’s roof, and a complex may have rules about where it can go — so each installation is planned rather than improvised. The four main services are below; there is also dish and LNB maintenance for older systems.

Areas We Cover Around Benoni
Benoni is a town built around its water — Civic Lake and the Korsman Bird Sanctuary sit less than a kilometre and a half from the centre, with Kleinfontein and Homestead Lake not much further out — and the suburbs wrap around them rather than running in a neat grid. We cover the ones below, from Linksview a couple of minutes off the centre to Daveyton about thirteen kilometres out. Pick yours to see what an installation there usually involves.
Where the Dish Has to Look From Benoni
Direction
ENE
azimuth about 62.4°
Height in the sky
36.3°
elevation above the horizon
LNB skew
~53°
rotation of the LNB in its holder
DStv broadcasts from a satellite parked at 68.5° east, so from here every dish points east-north-east and only about a third of the way up the sky. That is a low, fussy angle: a neighbour’s double storey, a boundary wall or a tree that has put on fifteen years of growth can all sit in the path even though the dish is on the “right” wall. It is the single most common reason a first installation needs a second opinion about where the dish goes.
Worth being straight about: those figures are effectively the same across the whole East Rand, so they are not a Benoni peculiarity and nobody should sell them to you as one. What is local is the rest of it — Benoni sits about 1,655 m up on the Highveld, which is why the summer storm season is hard on brackets, connectors and anything left hanging loose, and why so many of our call-outs are an installation that was fine for three years and then met one bad February.

Installations Made to Last on the Highveld
MultiChoice Accredited
The work is done to MultiChoice's installation standards, on HD, Explora and Explora Ultra decoders — the same standards a warranty claim gets measured against.
Made to Survive February
Bracket bolted into something solid, every outdoor connector sealed, cable clipped down the whole way. The first serious storm of the season is what audits an installation, and it is not gentle about it.
The Number Comes First
Nothing is drilled until you have heard the price and said yes, with the equipment written on its own line so you can see what is parts and what is labour.
We Answer After the Invoice
Something odd on the screen a week later? Message us. Plenty of it gets solved over WhatsApp in ten minutes, which is cheaper for you than a second visit.
Booking an Installation, Step by Step
Say where in Benoni you are
A call or a WhatsApp with the suburb — Rynfield, Actonville, Crystal Park, wherever — and what you want done. In a complex or a block of flats, say so now: permission is usually the slowest part of the job.
Photograph three things
The wall or roofline where the dish could go, any dish already up there, and the back of the decoder. Those three pictures are usually enough for a real number instead of a range.
Agree the quote
We talk through what the job involves and what it costs, parts listed apart from labour. Anything awkward about the property gets priced beforehand, not discovered on the day.
Install, test, hand over
Mount, cable, set up — then a signal reading taken at every TV point, and five minutes showing you where to find that reading yourself when something looks wrong.
